Just as the field of early childhood education must be flexible in keeping up with changing approaches to teaching, our program is flexible in how and when you learn. Whether you want to advance or recharge your career, online courses can provide motivation with their convenient and collaborative learning environment. Make your next mark on that growth chart in this innovative online degree program.
With the early childhood emphasis, students will gain increased knowledge and skills in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational services to children from birth through age 8. The program addresses the essential problems of practice with special emphasis given to effective teaching approaches for children who are at risk for school failure: children with special needs, children who are English-language learners and children who have challenging behaviors.
The program is designed for early childhood practitioners, Head Start teachers, early childhood special education teachers, child-care center staff and others who work with children from birth through age 8.
This program does not provide early childhood certification, nor does it provide the initial certification required to become a teacher.
