Admission Requirements for Freshmen

When considering you for admission, we look at your high school course work and your scores on the ACT or SAT.

Admission Requirements for Transfer Students

Prospective students need to meet the University of Missouri's transfer admission requirements in order to be admitted to MU.

  • A minimum 2.5 GPA in college-level courses.
  • At least 24 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university, AND at least one of the following:
    • a college algebra course with a grade of C- or better; or
    • the equivalent of MU's English 1000 with a grade of C- or better.
  • Full-time transfer students from other UM system campuses who have completed at least 24 college-level credits need only a 2.0 GPA to be eligible to transfer to Mizzou. Students with fewer than 24 college-level credits must also meet Mizzou's freshman admission requirements
