The Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri designed this 21-month master of business administration degree specifically for busy professionals who seek flexibility in their pursuit of an MBA. The program blends online course work, on-campus weekend study and a global residency and culminates in the same renowned MBA degree earned by full-time students earn at Mizzou.

Courses are delivered 75% online and 25% on-campus by world-class faculty. Students also take part in a 10-day international residency with faculty and classmates. Enrollment is limited and students take the same classes together in the same order — fostering close relationships and an invaluable network.

Program details

In Mizzou's execMBA program, you will build skills that increase self and global awareness, develop strategic risk-taking, and heighten influence. The courses are relevant and filled with actionable tactics. Our teaching model combines online learning, face-to-face instruction, guest speakers, peer projects and an international residency — all designed to provide an in-depth program that equips you with skills you can apply immediately.

The program is a lockstep cohort model, and courses are taken in a specific sequence, although you may customize your class assignments and learn about industries of your choice. Curriculum topics include but are not limited to:

On-campus requirement

You will meet with classmates, professors and guest presenters on the MU campus in Columbia four times per year (eight times over the course of the 21-month program). The execMBA begins with a four-day orientation residency in August and ends 21 months later with a four-day graduation residency in May. For the other six visits, you will meet on the MU campus Friday morning through Saturday evening.

International residency*

Serving as an opportunity to apply classroom education to an international setting, the international residency is an 8- to 10-day immersion experience during which students consult with businesses on strategic issues, participate in site visits with local and international businesses, and experience another culture and its business practices.

*The costs of the international residency, including transportation, lodging and meals, are included in the program tuition.
