How to apply

Fulfill the admission requirements

  • Graduation from a state board of nursing-approved school of nursing. Students requesting admission to the BSN program who are graduates of diploma or non-accredited ADN programs may be admitted on provisional status.
  • Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the United States.
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 (4.0 scale) from the basic school of nursing and all previous and subsequent college course work. Students applying with a cumulative GPA ranging from 2.0 to 2.499 may be admitted on probation based on review of individual circumstances.

Application dates

This program accepts rolling admissions, so you can apply at any time. We recommend you submit your application at least six weeks before the beginning of the term in which you wish to start your course work.

  • Domestic application fee: $45.00
  • International application fee: $75.00

Note If you were ever enrolled at UMKC as a degree seeking student you do not need to resubmit the general UMKC application fee.
