"I chose the online program at UMSL for many reasons. Most importantly is that the online degree program allows me to work at my pace based on my busy schedule. I am mom to four kids, work a 40 hour a week job at The Boeing Company, coach my daughter’s soccer team and play volleyball weekly so my schedule is jammed packed. Pursing my degree online allows for me to adjust my school calendar to fit the demand of my personal calendar.
This experience has been extremely enjoyable for me and I have been able to find success in my academics. Each semester, I’ve had professors who are easily accessible. The online platform that UMSL uses not only allows for me to interact with my professors, but also with my classmates through assignments like peer reviews. This technology, Canvas, is very user friendly. The online experience is allowing me to become more comfortable with technology. As technology is advancing in the workforce, this has allowed me to adapt to these new technologies. Pursing my degree online with UMSL has been the right choice for me and for my family. It has allowed me to fulfill my dream of completing my college education even with my busy schedule."
