Missouri Online
March 9th marked the official launch of Missouri Online. While you will see our new name, Missouri Online, paired with “Office of eLearning” in the coming months, our support is not changing. We will continue to support you as you teach fully online, in person and everything in between.
One Canvas
You are now able to access the new, UM System-wide instance of Canvas to develop classes for the Fall 2021 semester.
Instructional design training
Several courses are available for faculty and instructors of all types to hone your skills in online teaching and online course development:
- Designing & Building Your Online Course: A 10-week course, intended for faculty/instructors who have the responsibility to design and build a course for online delivery in Spring 2021 or thereafter.
- Online Teaching Certification Seminar: A 6-week course, intended for faculty/instructors who have the primary responsibility to teach online for the University of Missouri System.
- Online Teaching Recertification Seminar: A 3-week course, intended to build upon skills learned in the Online Teaching Certification Seminar. Before enrolling in the Online Teaching Recertification Seminar, faculty should ensure that they have been certified already or that they have completed the appropriate prerequisites. See flowchart for more information.
- Start Here 102: Best Practices in Online Instruction: A 4-week course, intended for faculty/instructors who have completed Start Here 101.
