As a Mizzou student, you’ll have access to other advising resources depending on whether you are earning a degree.
Degree-seeking students
Mizzou will assign you an academic advisor to help you choose courses and plan your course schedule. Find your advisor in myZou or MU Connect.
Nondegree-seeking students

Pre-advising
Mizzou Online’s pre-advising team specializes in supporting newly admitted Mizzou online bachelor’s students. The window of time we operate in is brief, but essential: we support students as soon as they are admitted to Mizzou and aid them through the beginning of their journey as they meet their long-term student success network.
As an admitted online bachelor’s student, you’ll receive messages from our team guiding you through the planning stages and processes needed to ensure you are set up for success when you start classes at Mizzou.

After your admission to Mizzou, we provide several supporting services, like:
1:1 Zoom meetings or phone calls to address your questions and support needs as you prepare for your first semester and beyond with Mizzou.
Virtual Q&A sessions to connect with other newly admitted online Tigers and get your questions answered. You’ll also hear a brief presentation from our team introducing you to the important resources you’ll use daily as a student.
