Courses

Delivery of this program is 100 percent online: no campus visits are required.

Successful completion requires 30 credit hours of course work for the thesis option, or 32 for the non-thesis (creative component) option.

Course planner

The chart below shows when the courses are traditionally offered. Please note that some courses are offered only in ODD (e.g., 2021) or EVEN (e.g., 2022) years. Courses are 3 credit hours each, unless stated otherwise. The University reserves the right to change or cancel courses as needed.

Culmination

The program culminates with either a thesis (AG_ED_LD 8090) focusing on designing and conducting research in the social sciences or a creative component (AG_ED_LD 8080) oriented toward improving your proficiency in teaching, curriculum development, program planning and evaluations.

Nondegree-seeking enrollment

Prior to acceptance into the program, you may enroll in up to 12 credit hours as a nondegree-seeking (in some cases, post-baccalaureate) student. Enrollment does not guarantee acceptance. Learn more about nondegree-seeking university student admissions.
