Delivery of this program is blended. Most course work can be completed online, but you must complete at least 9 credit hours on campus over three consecutive summers.

Successful completion requires a minimum of 32 credit hours: three core courses on campus and one core course online, two foundation coursesĀ and 15-18 credit hours of electives.

Course planner

The chart below shows when the courses are traditionally offered. Courses are 3 credit hours each, unless stated otherwise. The University reserves the right to change or cancel courses as needed.

Nondegree-seeking enrollment

Prior to acceptance into the program, you may enroll as a nondegree-seeking (in some cases, post-baccalaureate) student in up to 9 credit hours. Enrollment does not guarantee acceptance. Learn more about nondegree-seeking university student admissions.

This program culminates with a terminal project or summative experience, as determined by the department. You must be enrolled at the University during the semester in which your project is presented or completed.

State authorization

States require that the University of Missouri be authorized to deliver university-level distance/online education to their residents. Each state handles this process differently.

Please see our state authorization page.
