Computer Science proper qualification

By taking the Computer Science for Educators course, you meet requirements for DESE’s “Computer Science proper qualification" in Missouri.

Computer Science for Educators aligns with the Computer Science for Educator national standards and examines the practices and concepts central to computer science education at the secondary level. The course provides an introduction to computing systems, networks and the internet, data analysis, algorithms, programming, and the impacts of computing. The course also integrates instructional strategies, computational thinking practices and the big ideas included in AP Computer Science Principles Curriculum Framework.

As an intern, students sign up for IS_LT 9480 and earn 1 credit hour for every 45 work hours they complete. Nondegree-seeking enrollment

Prior to acceptance into the program, you may enroll in up to 9 credit hours as a nondegree-seeking (in some cases, post-baccalaureate) student. Enrollment does not guarantee acceptance. Learn more about nondegree-seeking university student admissions.
