Course planner

The chart below shows when courses are traditionally offered. Courses are 3 credit hours each, unless stated otherwise. The University reserves the right to change or cancel courses as needed.

Culmination

To complete the program, students will take N8990 Practice Inquiry. This course focuses on synthesizing knowledge from the MS program into a written and oral master’s examination. The written portion of the exam will be completed in a step-by-step process in which prior content must be revised based on evaluative comments at the time the next step is added. Students will present a summary of the written content and processes used to obtain the research data as well as articulate how they met the MS program outcomes throughout their program of study.

This course prepares students for the DNP scholarly project literature review and project proposal completed in the DNP program.

Nondegree-seeking enrollment

Prior to acceptance into the program, you may enroll in up to 9 credit hours as a nondegree-seeking (in some cases, post-baccalaureate) student. Enrollment does not guarantee acceptance. Learn more about nondegree-seeking university student admissions.

State authorization

States require that the University of Missouri-Columbia be authorized to deliver university-level distance/online education to their residents. Each state handles this process differently.
