Courses

Courses for this program are 100% online: no campus visits are required. This program does require site-based practicums, which requires 20 clock hours working in a community agency and two site-based practicum courses immersed in a Studio School. Practicum 1 includes two days per week working as a Triton Teacher and practicum 2 includes four days per week working as a Triton Teacher.

Successful completion of the program requires 46 credit hours of course work.

Any teacher candidate aspiring to enter the “Teach in 12” accelerated path must first pass the Missouri Content Assessment appropriate to their area of certification. The accelerated path requires intensive study, immersive experiences, and large investments of time and effort. Candidates who enter the “Teach in 12” pathway will be unable to maintain concurrent professional commitments.
