Courses

Delivery of this program is blended: You will complete most course work online, but some campus visits are required. This program requires a two-day on-campus orientation, plus one day per year for the annual Reflection Day.

Successful completion of the MSN to PhD program requires 66 credit hours of course work (MSN to PhD plan of study). Students will transfer in 9 credit hours from their MSN, and will complete 57 credit hours to earn their PhD. Successful completion of the BSN to PhD program requires 66 credit hours of course work (BSN to PhD plan of study).

The PhD curriculum is fully online (95% asynchronous and 5% synchronous) in nursing science, theory, research, statistics and cognates that may be taken throughout the University of Missouri System.
